OUR MISSION

Lucky Mutts Rescue, Inc (LMR) has been rescuing dogs from around the country since 2015.

We operate on a foster and volunteer based, not-for-profit model, and focus of dogs facing euthanasia due to placement in high kill shelters, overpopulation, abuse & neglect, or owner surrender.

We take pride in carefully screening every potential foster and adoptive home through a comprehensive approval process. We educate every potential adopter on the dogs' needs, requirements and expectations involved with adding a new dog to their home. LMR provides a community of support for all of our adopters.

All dogs we rescue receive full medical care, including spay or neuter, microchip, and vaccinations, treatments, or medications they may need, thanks to our team and network of veterinarians.

While awaiting adoption, our dogs are able to decompress, build confidence, and socialize in one of our many nurturing, well supported foster homes.

MEET HELEN — 45 POUNDS OF FUN, LOVE, AND PERSONALITY!

Helen is a gorgeous 1–2-year-old Aussie/Catahoula mix who is ready to find the family she's been waiting for.

And this girl has A LOT going for her!

WHY HELEN?

— Potty trained

— Great in the car

— Loves people and gives the best kisses

— Takes treats like a perfect lady

— Eager to please and responds well to gentle correction

— Loves a good snuggle

— Has plenty of fun, playful energy

— Loves running and zooming around a fenced yard

Helen has only been in Wisconsin a short time, but she settled in like a pro. She's adaptable, affectionate, smart, and really wants to make her people happy.

She's young and still has some puppy energy, so Helen would be a fantastic match for an active family looking for a dog to truly be part of their life. Kids, a fenced yard, walks, weekend adventures, playing outside — Helen says YES to all of it.

But don't let that energy fool you.

When the fun is over, give this girl a cozy blanket and a spot next to someone she loves, and she's perfectly happy settling in for a snuggle.

She's learning to play with balls and stuffed toys, and she's also VERY good at communicating when she needs to go outside. You won't have to wonder — Helen will make sure you know!
